About Colin McKay's Cosmic Sensations
WITH memorable melodies over funk-infused grooves and whimsical lyrics, Colin McKay has something to say. Sounds reminiscent of The Talking Heads, the presense of P-Funk and the zaniness of Frank Zappa are all swirled into songs that are quirky yet totally accessible.

McKay has performed as a guitarist, singer and songwriter in a variety of original and cover bands but with this CD he presents his own vision. Working with producer/guitarist Tommy Osuna, a winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, meant that the proper vibrations were captured on the recording for sure.

McKay combines wide-ranging influences and experiences to create a Cosmic Funk-Pop sound that is pure ear candy. People sing along to the words before they even know them. Toes tap, hand clap and heads bop in time! There is no doubt these tunes and others on the stove will create a whole lotta excitement for a whole lotta people.

Quotes:
"It's full of muse for the mind, spirit for the soul and boogie for the body"

Brenda Layne, Professional Polo Player

"Delightfully Weird"
Northeast In-Tune Magazine

To see a show by Colin McKay's Cosmic Sensations must be very interesting indeed (judging by their set list) which includes such diverse songs as “Sweet Dreams” (Eurythmics), “Stray Cat Strut (Stray Cats), “Three Little Birds” (Bob Marley), “Cheap Sunglasses” (ZZ Top), and the children's classic…”Froggy-went-A-courtin’?”

Hmmm. Sounds like some unsuspecting audience is in for a delightfully weird evening!
